Saturday

Stage 4, 163.5-km road race — Edmonton to Strathcona County, starts 11:50 a.m. at Northlands Park, slated to end around 3:50 p.m. in Sherwood Park (finish line at 2001 Oak Street, near the Sherwood Park Arena and Salisbury Athletic Park).

Stage 5, 124.1-km circuit — downtown Edmonton, Start and finish at Sir Winston Churchill Square. begins at 12:40 p.m., slated to end about three hours later.

Leaving downtown

Once the race has started, vehicles will only be able to leave downtown via the Low Level Bridge, the James MacDonald Bridge or 97 Avenue.

Transit

Some Edmonton Transit buses will be detoured Sunday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. because of the race Bus routes affected include: 1, 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 15, 57, 86, 130, 140 and 151. LRT service will not be affected.

Parking

Street parking will not be available along the race course from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. A number of meters will be hooded. Illegally parked vehicles will be tagged and towed.

Festival

Sir Winston Churchill Square will be the focal point of Sunday’s final stage much as it was last year, when it was the hub for the prologue/time trials. The Tour of Alberta Edmonton Festival will feature entertainment, food and cycling action from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visit the Subway Zone, the Budweiser Beer Gardens and Autograph Alley.
