Riddiough’s family says he is normally in touch every day and so this is very out of character for him.

They also say his cell provider says his phone has been off the past two weeks while there has been no activity in his bank account.

The Canadian embassy in Mexico has been contacted.

Riddiough was on a 2008 Honda Varadero motorbike with Alberta plate number ERG41.

Riddiough’s family says they are hoping for the best but also preparing for the worst.

If you are able to provide any tips, a Facebook page has been set up.

Riddiough is 6 foot 2″ tall, he has grey hair and has tattoos on his left arm including a Canadian flag and eagle.

He has a problem with his white blood cells and is on medication.
